Dr. Vaysman earned his medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Middletown, New York. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by fellowship training in Spine Surgery at the Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa, Florida. His extensive training provided him with expertise in the management of complex cervical, thoracic and lumbar disorders, degenerative spinal conditions, and spinal deformity.
A Long Island native, Dr. Vaysman is honored to return home and care for the community that has been an important part of his life. Having grown up on Long Island, he understands the value of providing exceptional spine care close to home and considers it a privilege to give back to the community that helped shape him. He is dedicated to building lasting relationships with his patients and helping them make informed decisions about their spine health.
Dr. Vaysman believes that successful spine care begins with a thorough understanding of each patient’s individual concerns, goals, and expectations. He takes a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to treatment and believes that surgery should be considered only after appropriate nonoperative options have been explored and when surgical intervention offers a meaningful opportunity to improve a patient’s pain, function, or quality of life. When surgery is indicated, he incorporates advanced surgical techniques with an emphasis on minimizing tissue disruption, preserving normal anatomy, and achieving durable outcomes.
